The FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg offers the modulated study for future teachers of primary and secondary schools to the extent of 210 ECTS (7 semesters), including Gymnasium instructors to the extent of 270 ECTS (9 semesters). The study for future teachers is built in a way that after the 6th semester, students of the program can acquire a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) which, if necessary, gives the opportunity to continue to a Master of Science (MSc.). After finishing the modulated study, one can take the first examination that qualifies the student to perform an official student-teaching internship in the state. All teaching degree programs contain modules from at least two teaching subjects, specific methodologies and educational science.

Further information can be found at the webpage for Teaching in Physics.
