Opening hours
The doors of the Physikum building are open on weekdays from 7am until 6pm.
Door access system
Outside opening hours, the building can be accessed with authorized FAUcards.
Building access for students
Students may apply for access to the Physikum building and the seminar rooms outside business hours as follows:
- Fill in the application form (in German)
- Submit the application personally during the following consultation hours. Make sure to have your FAUcard and a valid photo identification (e.g. ID, passport) with you:

FAUcard lost
A lost or stolen FAUcard maybe abused for getting unauthorized access to rooms. Thereby, the legal owner of the card will be recorded in the access logfile. Thus, it is important to immediately cancel the FAUcard in case of loss via the IdM portal or by email to card@fau.de.
