The CIP-Pool is located next to the advanced laboratory experiment rooms, on the first floor in building B2, entry 00.724 (directly in front of the hallway to the lecture halls).
This area offers approximately 50 workplaces with standard software installed (OpenOffice, Firefox), data evaluation software, LaTex,  computer algebra systems (Mathematica, Maple, Maxima) as well as developing tools (dgg, Matlab, Octave etc.). Updated information is available in  CIP-Wiki.
Contact persons can be reached at admins@cip.physik.uni-erlangen.de

Being more than a laboratory area, the Electronics Laboratory can be used as an Experimental Service Center (ESC). The ESC is a tool to deepen your experimental abilities. The laboratory equipment and PCs with scientific software are available for designing and assembling prototypes within Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. theses, as well as for laboratory analysis and development of your own projects.

In order to gain access to the ESC, you must participate in the Electronics Laboratory (usually in the fourth semester) or demonstrate sufficient background in electronics.

For information on how to apply for access to the ESC, please follow this link to the homepage of the electronic lab course (in German).

Students in physics programmes may apply for access to the “Physikum” building and the seminar rooms at the Study Service Centre (SSC) Physics.

You will need a completed application form (in German), your FAUcard and a valid photo ID.

Please make an appointment by sending an e-mail to: physik-siport@fau.de

FAUcard lost

A lost or stolen FAUcard maybe abused for getting unauthorized access to rooms. In this case the legal owner of the card will be recorded in the access logfile. It is therefore mandatory to disable the FAUcard in case of loss via the IdM portal or by email to card@fau.de.
