Titel: A unification of Mpemba effects: classical and quantum

Abstract:
The Mpemba effect originally referred to the observation that, under certain thermalizing dynamics, initially hotter samples can cool faster than colder ones. This effect has since been generalized to other anomalous relaxation behaviours even beyond classical domains, such as symmetry restoration in quantum systems. This talk will focus on the background to the phenomena and explain tools that can be used to see many of these observation under the same lens using tools from open quantum systems and quantum information theory.t.b.a.
