Content
In this lecture we will introduce the basic concepts of groups and their representations. Applications in quantum and statistical physics will be discusses in some detail. We will start with finite groups but also consider compact and non-compact Lie groups and their algebras with applications. The lectures in the morning will complemented with tutorials in the afternoon and homework problems.
