Opening hours

The doors of the Physikum building are open on weekdays from 7am until 6pm.

Door access system

Outside opening hours, the building can be accessed with authorized FAUcards.

Building access for students

Students in physics programmes may apply for access to the Physikum building and the seminar rooms at the Study Service Centre (SSC) Physics as follows:

You will need a completed application form (in German), your FAUcard and a valid photo ID.

FAUcard lost

A lost or stolen FAUcard maybe abused for getting unauthorized access to rooms. Thereby, the legal owner of the card will be recorded in the access logfile. Thus, it is important to immediately cancel the FAUcard in case of loss via the IdM portal or by email to card@fau.de.
